I wonder if I put a few words here?

Advanced Multimedia Tools

In my life, I have utilized chatgpt. I mostly use this AI as a search engine, but it can also be a helpful resource for some of my confusions. The majority of the time, Chatgpt can effectively clear up some of my confusion. However, I discovered that Chatgpt’s descriptions of historical items are not very accurate.particularly with some knowledge that is not included in its database.

Data visualization has the benefit of being more interesting than just numerical data. I’ve seen data that can be manipulated in income mobility charts; this animation makes the data come to life, but it’s not as direct. I experimented with data visualization using graphy, a very basic software program that generates data visualizations automatically when you enter the name and data into a form. It does, however, have certain limitations. For instance, it cannot distinguish between generating two x-axes simultaneously, and the numbers displayed by the two data columns will overlap.

Slick, interactive charts that make you stand out. Graphy. (n.d.). https://visualize.graphy.app/

I believe that there should be guidelines for students using these technologies, such as prohibiting them from using AI assistance when they should be doing their own independent thinking. AI can be used to help people learn or comprehend information, but it cannot be used to cheat. This is due to the fact that AI data is not always 100% accurate. I will not allow AI to think for me, and I believe there is some risk involved in allowing AI to replace human thought. I may utilize AI for conversation and to ask questions about some life endeavours.

Principles of Learning Design and Active Learning

H5P

I wanted to convey to the learner in this week’s session that while they are in the jungle, there isn’t a better option. If you are unable to escape the forest, your best course of action is to learn about the biology and ecology of the area before consuming any food. There are several crises within the forest, so use additional caution whenever you take any activity.

I included three instances and the best-case scenario in the first H5P interactive hotpot. The intention is to inform students that the forest is full of danger and unpredictability. and to inform them that the wisest course of action is to depart.

I’ll include another H5P at the conclusion of the class so the learner can work on strengthening the impression.

Relection

I saw a few similarities between the reading “Students Need to DO Something” and a few of my classes. Frequently, educators only recite passages from a PowerPoint without engaging with the pupils. Pupils find the sessions tedious and struggle to truly grasp how the lessons apply to their lives.Students may not have the means to actually memorize knowledge during the learning process.

Using H5P’s hotspot, I discovered that a video is far more powerful than a graphic or interaction alone. To make the entire session more engaging, I’ll create a film the next time rather than use a hotpot. People are engaged in solving real-life problems when they are learning, according to Merrill’s Principles of Instruction (MPI). In my class, the topic of what individuals should know in the event that they get lost in the woods in real life is one of common sense.

The benefits of motivating people to learn on their own are much greater than the benefits of passive learning. In this week’s study, I also learned about the difference between Active Learning and Passive Learning.

Storytelling and Creating Video

When I was a teenager,my parents brought me a “magical wand”. It was the first gift I received, and it has become one of the most meaningful symbols for my childhood dream. I’m always deeply attracted by meaningful, magical and spiritual experiences. By exploring the western and occult culture, I learned that cards could draw meanings that is significant to one person, and further projected to external world. I connected my personal experience to my story, and it was not easy. Individuals might have their own story to tell; yet not all of them observe the card with the same scope. Throughout this week,I learned to engage audiences with different tones, pictures or sound effects. Having a clear story structure would also be helpful for listeners to grasp concepts of the story. I would to take a video about how one of my cards could encourage me and what the cards told me .When I doing the recording I found that it was hard to keep a smooth talking. Sometimes, I had to repeat myself that I could recognized what I should say next. In my next attempt at a trying video, I’ll try to use thing that hold my subject in place to prevent camera shake.

Reflection

In this week reading,  7 Storytelling Techniques Used by the Most Inspiring TED Presenters, I appreciate Zak Ibrahim’s storytelling style. The discovery that his father was a participant in the World Trade Centre bombing opens his narrative. Then he travels back in time to narrate about his early years and how he came to follow a different route than his father.A typical story takes an unexpected turn at the end. It’s an inverted method of influencing people’s desire of following the last part of story.

I tried to use Mayer’s Segmenting Principle,Mayer’s Coherence Principle, and UDL Guidelines in my video. My video is shorter than two minutes with subtitles. A really simple method to convey the idea that I want others to understand that the finest treatment they can give themselves is oneself. My pictures and sounds are closely related to my theme.

However,I did lost Mayer’s Personalization Principle and Merrill’s First Principles. My tone wasn’t cordial enough. I think it’s because I’m not familiar enough with my text to speak with some stuttering. The bad thing about this is that people get bored when they watch my videos. Additionally, I don’t ask questions from the viewer’s point of view; in other words, my videos are not expensive and basically just discuss the topics I want to discuss. I’ll try to make my photographs more organized in my next attempt. Say I want to keep my whole image in the middle. To get more proficient at it and be able to add narration with greater feeling, practice the text multiple times. When creating your narrative board, try to imagine myself in the position of the audience and pose questions. In this manner, the audience won’t think it to be as bored.

Design Principles for Effective and Accessible Multimedia

Wave

I discovered that there are a lot of identical titles on my blog while reviewing my report on wave. It gives my blog a really boring appearance. The page appears disorganized. Things that are not necessary should not be present. In the future, I’ll make an effort to reduce these issues. enhances the clarity of my papers. Cut down on heading repetition that isn’t necessary.

Canva

Canva is a new tool to me. The difference between Canva and Powerpoint would be Canva have more interesting model than Powerpoint. The information I came up with is a little intricate. It takes time to provide information. Next time, I would try to use a more clear model which can show information more straight.

Read/Watch

I try to use NaturalReader to transfer my text to voice. It feels weird to have my TEXT read aloud by a voice manufactured by software. I find it boring to read or comprehend a web page because of the created voices. Voices from people are incredibly human. If you read aloud, it would be more engaging.

Frist try of Screencasting

Screencasting

How To Make An Egg Fried With Rice

Powerpoint is a good tool to use for screencasting. In module 1, I tried to create a screencasting video by myself. In the tutorial, I learned how to use powerpoint to record the screen with sound. I taught the most easy dish I believe.

Mayer’s Cognitive

In comparison to AI, recording people‘s voices on a video screen will be more personal.People might be better able to listen to the sounds people make when they’re learning.

Mayer’s redundancy

I did repeat myself in this screening casting. On the powerpoint I made, the narration and the text are the same words. This made my powerpoint boring the reader.

However, people won’t be compelled to continue learning if my films aren’t entertaining and are fairly boring. Thus, I am not talking other stuff in the screencasting is an action worth continuing.

All in all, this recording is a new attempt to me. I hope I could make my screencasting more interesting. I might make the vedio more graphic changes.

Welcome and Introduction

Hi, this is Kyukk. I am a third-year economics student at Uvic. My favourite food is hotpot. I am glad to meet everyone who is taking this course this semester. I am looking forward to learning about multi-knowledge.
